Run in Saucony Running Shoes for Unparalleled Comfort

Saucony running shoes have been around for years, but have not gotten the respect they deserve. Until now, that is. As of recent, they are becoming ever more popular amongst runners due to some corporate restructuring and some outstanding updates in their shoe designs. Saucony has grown from a tiny company only worn by a handful of runners, to an internationally known brand loved for its superior fit and feel.

Saucony provides the most comfortable shoes. They have a securely snug heel and comfy wide toe box that fit great with the natural shape of the foot. Their midsoles are really thick and soft, so as you go through your gait cycle you sink into a nice plush shoe. You'll hardly feel the ground below your feet. They're very flexible, so the ride is smooth and quiet.

On the weight spectrum, Saucony running shoes are light to medium weight shoes. Even the Sauconys designed for bigger people can be worn by lighter people because they're not too heavy but still offer a lot of cushion. I almost always do my longer runs in Sauconys because while wearing them my feet and legs don't hurt.

The only thing I don't like about Sauconys is that they are not as durable as I would like them to be. To be safe, make sure you replace your Sauconys once you have put 300 miles on them. You can push them to 350 miles but you'll be risking injuries past that. Nevertheless, Saucony is a favorite amongst my co-workers and is what I always recommend first if someone is needing help finding a shoe. Here's an interesting note: the majority of my female customers buy and love Saucony.

Saucony has quite a bit of a selection, but below are my top picks for all the major shoe categories. Whenever possible, I add the following notations where appropriate to help you get your ideal fit.

  • Standard - for people weighing under 150 pounds.
  • Advanced - for people weighing over 150 pounds.
  • Performance - for speed workouts and racing. The more you weigh the shorter the distance you should be running in these types of shoes.
  • Trail - for off road running (i.e. through dirt, loose gravel, mud, water, etc.).
